Owners manual says to remove and reinstall gas cap and wait for a few days for message to disappear. Will do but I suspect waiting will not solve the problem because the gas cap was properly installed when I last filled it on June 26th. Webb20 feb. 2024 · If you see the gascap warning light, first check to make sure that the gas cap is tight. If it’s not, simply tighten it until it clicks into place. If the light persists, then there may be an issue with the gas cap itself and it will need to be replaced. Either way, don’t ignore the gascap warning light!

I just had mine fixed, 07 TL, at the dealer for no charge. According to the 2011 manual, just press the odometer reset button to clear the GASCAP message. You might want to invest in a OBDII code reader.
