The black background adds visual depth, making the tank look like it extends further back than it does. Also, gsp can be BRIGHT.

WebMar 20, 2024 · As for GSP. Super easy and can take any/all light and flow. I personally found that strong flow really gets them to explode in growth. I started sticking frag rocks 'down stream' from my powerhead and that encourages the GSP to grow towards the frag rocks and I simply break off pieces as it grows and give/sell/trade. WebJan 8, 2024 · If you are good at tank maintenance and will do the right then then my personal opinion is go for it. It will add a splash of color to the tank. If you don't do GSP and use something else then again go for it. Just remember nothing shouldn't be left unattended or ignored. If you put it there and it grows somewhere in time it may become a issue.

Remember though, that anything that is touching the bottom will get covered in gsp over time. This can be done on the sand bed or the glass bottom.
