WebYeast ferm temp called for 65 degrees. Set my Inkbird Temp Controller to maintain the temp between 65 and 66 degrees. Lowest temp it got to was 64.9 and highest temp was 66.1. Very happy with how it maintains the temp in a very small range. When it clicks on, it is a very gentle heat and slowly warms the wort back up. I highly recommend it. WebFeb 4, 2009 · i picked up a cheap heating pad at walgreen's for my fermentation chamber, but i didn't realize that it does not turn on automatically when it's plugged in. i'll have it hooked up to a plug-in thermostat, so this won't work. can i just splice the wire before and after the on/off switch? is there a better way to accomplish what i need? samc
